The Conference took place in Zhuhai City, across the bay from Hong Kong, right next to Macau.
Zhuhai is one of China's fastest-growing cities, that is soon to be connected via a gigantic bridge directly to Hong Kong.
The site of the Conference - the Beijing Normal University's campus is situated in midst of green hills and rather sizeable mountains, and forms a marvellous park landscape.
Zhuhai is famous for its clean air, romantic seaside, and high living quality.
The Conference was organized by Christian Aspalter the Founding President of Asian Association for Social Welfare (AASW).
The Inaugural Conference of the Asian Association for Social Welfare took place on April 27-30, with April 30 being the founding day of the Asian Association for Social Welfare.
In total, the Conference hosted more than 60 leaders in social policy and social work particularly from all of Asia, but also Europe.
The Conference received substantial media coverage.
It was attented by journalists from 8 national, regional and local newspapers.
