Our Name

AASW is the English acronym for Asian Association for Social Welfare.

Our Nature

AASW is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by social welfare experts and welfare-related experts. Its members are interested in a change for the better in social welfare – that is, in the creation of a better tomorrow for the people of Asia and beyond. AASW does not discriminate on the basis of cultural, ethnic, national and social origin, gender and gender orientation, creed and religion.

Peace and the fulfillment of natural potentials of the individual, the family, the community, and society at large.

Our Goal

Our international network enables experts, practitioners and policymakers to help discover and develop their role in evaluating, planning, designing, implementing, and reviewing social policies and programs as to increase the welfare, and decrease the diswelfare, of people living in Asia and beyond. Also, our network will exercise great influence in defending the name, reasoning, and ideology of helping people to lead a successful live and to strive to a better tomorrow, be it in the rich or the poor countries of Asia and worldwide.

Our Core Work

AASW provides local, national and international governmental institutions and welfare agencies with access points to our wide network of social experts in all corners of Asia, and beyond. Also, we will provide our members with a wide array of platforms for conducting research and developing theories, for the advancement of positive science in the field of social welfare, social policy, social development, social work, and related sciences.
